XY touchscreen features to return in the PokéNav Plus

Mega Glalie Mega Steelix

Update:  Mega Glalie and Mega Steelix can be found in the Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire Special Demo Version. Mega Glalie appears in the PAL region and Korean versions of the demo, and remains pure Ice-type with the Ability Refrigerate. Its Mega Stone is called the Glalitite. Mega Steelix appears in the Japanese version of the demo, and remains Steel/Ground with the Ability Sand Force. Its Mega Stone is called the Steelixite.

Following the October 2014 CoroCoro leaks, the official press site of the Pokémon Company International has shown the artwork of Mega Glalie and Mega Steelix, announced the features of the improved version of PokéNav—called the PokéNav Plus—and has given more information about the topics included in this month's CoroCoro. Although the artwork of Mega Glalie and Mega Steelix have been shown, no other information about them is official available yet.

The improved version of the PokéNav, the PokéNav Plus has at least four main features, called the DexNav, the AreaNav, the BuzzNav and the PlayNav. The DexNav helps players to find hidden or specific Pokémon in the tall grass. The AreaNav gives information about the different locations of the Hoenn region. The BuzzNav views news from the Hoenn region and passing players. The PlayNav has all the features of the touchscreen from Pokémon X and Y, which are the Player Search System, Pokémon-Amie, and Super Training.

While riding Mega Latios and Latias, players can travel across the Hoenn region and do various midair tricks and hairpin turns. This new method of travel is called Soar. In the air, players can encounter Mirage spots which might include Legendary Pokémon, such as Ho-Oh, Lugia, Dialga, Palkia, Reshiram and Zekrom, or valuable items.

The press release also shows official artwork of Mega Pidgeot, Mega Beedrill, Mega Latios, Mega Latias, Mega Rayquaza and Mirage spots, which can be seen by clicking the images in the gallery below. The Official Pokémon YouTube channel has also added a video containing footage of everything above which can viewed below the gallery.
